The Location
After its restoration and new setup, the center was inaugurated in the spring of 2014 for the occassion of Asger Jorn’s celebration of the centenary of his birth.
As the true heart of the town’s cultural activities, MuDA’s Exhibition Center is a multifunctional space that includes a public art gallery, a library and a conference room. The main area holds a civic collection of modern and contemporary art, featuring rotating art pieces from the most important artists of the 900’s. Most of them have lived and worked in Albissola for many years: Edoardo Alfieri, Enrico Baj, Carlos Carlé, Aurelio Caminati, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Sandro Cherchi, Roberto Crippa, Agenore Fabbri, Lucio Fontana, Asger Jorn, Wifredo Lam, Pablo Picasso, Mario Rossello, Emilio Scanavino, Manlio Trucco, etc.
Inside the Exhibition Center it is possible to enjoy, at no charge, an equipped reading room with book loan service and wireless access.
Many educational, social and cultural activities are organized ,almost daily, by a specialized and well prepared staff of volunteers. Going from courses from the Third Age University, to creative workshops and art film conferences.

Directions to the MuDA Exhibition Center

MuDA’s exhibition center is located downtown, behind the main church at Albissola Marina (Nostra Signora della Concordia).
By train: from Albisola’s train station is about a 20 minute walk, bus line 7 -7/ bus stop Albissola Marina (Sant’Antonio o San Benedetto). From Savona’s train station bus line 7 – 7/ - 30 bus stop Albissola Marina (San Benedetto o Sant’Antonio).
By car: on the highway take Albisola’s exit and continue towards Savona. The museum is located on an accessible road with parking space.
